Safe Haven

Safe Haven Shelter is located just down Hull Street, about 15 minutes east of St. Luke’s. The economics of this area are different from our own neighborhood, and those who live at Safe Haven are making real progress toward stability. While they stay at Safe Haven, they work, study, and prepare for a time when they will have their own place to call home.

It is our joy as a congregation to provide a meal for the residents of this Shelter on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. The residents are always so appreciative, and we are grateful for the chance to go and provide food for those who are getting back on their feet. We celebrate their progress, fellowship with them around the table, and provide coats for them at Christmas.
